January 2019 (review)

January 2019
Winter Camp
(review)

The start of our second semester was actually very good. We were in Mrs. Irina's class and spent a great time. First 3 days we were playing some games in English, doing some other projects and also deciding our topic for an English lesson in primary school.
On the 10th of January was our “24 hours in school” project, so we stayed in school all day. We cooked lasagna, ate it, and were playing games, watching movies in English till midnight. Imagine the dark school with Christmas lights, and without that noise, teachers, annoying kids, and anything else, pretty cool, huh? You can do whatever you want, and no one can stop you. Anyway, I didn't stay at night and I missed almost everything, so I can’t tell about it much.

The next day we decided to go to an ice rink. Actually, there is nothing to tell about, because we were just ice-skating, but here’s a video that you can watch if you want to.

On the first day of next week, we went to a snow park called “Jrvezh”. We were sledding, skiing, playing snowballs, taking photos, filming and much more. So, we spent a really great time, though we were freezing.

The next day's interesting part was an educational game, that we suddenly decided to take part in. We created a team 1 minute before the game started. We ended up with just 1 point, though we weren't prepared, the game was amazing, and we learned much from it too.
On Wednesday one of our classmates Shushan called us to her discussion about stereotypes. That topic is one of our favorites, and as we can speak about it endlessly, we were arguing with others for 45 minutes, but the discussion ended with nothing new because no one was listening to each other. Anyway, it was very funny. Then we went to primary school for our projects. It was another English lesson about Christmas, and kids even had a surprise for us.

On the next day, we just had another discussion with our Armenian teacher Miss Hasmik. We were talking about 3 stories that we read earlier. Also, we had some guests from Javakhq, so they took part in it too.
On the 18th of January, we had a special guest. The creator of games like “De khaga”, “Brainy” Hayk Mkrtchyan. Honestly, he was the coolest person I've ever seen. He was very confident, interesting, smart. Hayk told us about his profession (he is an economist), the good and bad parts of it. Gave us some advice for choosing our profession, and making our dreams come true in the future. His speech was very interesting, and all his words were so true, that everyone was listening to him very attentively. He inspired us all, and I really want to become a cool person like him when I grow up.
The first day of the third week was very interesting too. First, we took part in our classmate Armyg's discussion about friendship (there's a video about it too), and then went to ice rank again, but this time with Miss Julie. We spent a good time there, and after that we went to Grand Candy, to eat some donuts. The rest of the day we were just playing games and talking with each other at school.

This week wasn't as full and interesting as others. I didn't even go to that many places, so there isn't much to tell. Anyway, this was a short review of our “Winter Camp”, hope the rest of the semester will be more interesting, and full of different projects and trips.
