"The
old guitarist"
Jose
lived in one of the Italian cities. He was a skinny, tall young man with dark
hair and blue eyes. His favorite thing to do and only method of survival was
making guitars. He had his studio, where he was spending most of his time.
One
day, a man whom he hadn't seen before entered his studio. His name was Louis.
He was a tall, tough, brunette man who wanted to surprise his lover and give
her a guitar, which she dreamed of since childhood. Jose got to work, and after
some time, the guitar was finally ready. It was the most unique, gorgeous, and
delicate guitar that he has ever made.
Jose
packed the guitar and walked to Louis's house. When he opened the door,
splendidly made metal stairs raised in front of him. He went up, where was standing
she: beautiful Felicia, elegant, with dark hair and eyes, whose glance just
burned Jose. She didn't even manage to welcome Jose when the magical sounds of
the guitar filled the air. Felicia was astonished and started raptly listening
to him.
The song hadn't ended when Louis showed up in the hall. When he saw inspired Jose
and Felicia's delighted look, he approached Jose and took the guitar from him,
not letting him finish the marvelous song. Jose frowned and tried to take back
the guitar but neglected. Louis's guards came in and took Jose out, trundling
him down the stairs. When Jose opened
his eyes, he found himself lying in the street with the guitar that he made for
Felicia.
Years
have passed. A poorly dressed old musician is sitting in the corner of the
street and is playing the guitar. People stop by, listen to him, and are
astounded by his songs. Unfortunately, he can't see his audience because he's
blind. He had lost his sight from the stroke from years ago, lost his studio,
and appeared on the streets. He didn't have any relatives or friends. The only
loyal and inseparable friend he had was the guitar that he had made for
Felicia.

FYI
"The Old Guitarist" is one of Pablo Picasso's paintings. It was painted in 1903, just after the suicide death of Picasso's close friend and is probably the most iconic painting of Picasso's "Blue Period" when he was living in poverty and emotional turmoil. The
painting is also notable for the ghostly presence of a mysterious image of a
woman painted underneath.
